David Benson was trained at Birmingham College of Art and Design and obtained a degree in jewellery design in 1970.

He started out manufacturing jewellery for sale to shops and galleries throughout the country and in 1978 his search for a larger workshop led him to the picturesque market town of Ludlow, Shropshire.

Here he set up his workshop with a small shop front. The contemporary bold designs he specialised in had not been seen in Ludlow before and the business immediately took off. In 1984 he upgraded to larger premises within the elegant Buttercross building.

In 2008 his daughter Amy joined David in the running of the business and she is gradually becoming more involved in the design and manufacturing side of things.

Today the business is well established within Ludlow with a reputation for quality and an excellent level of service. The shop stocks a wide range of classic and contemporary jewellery, watches and giftware and specialises in bold and unusual silver and diamonds.

David, Amy and their team have built up an enviable in-depth knowledge of the jewellery industry and within the large, well-equipped workshop they continue to create unique and stunning designs for sale within the shop as well as carrying out an extensive range of services.
